Shutter Release
- Method: Electropneumatic soft-release presses camera shutter button
- Actuation duration: ~625 ms (average per press) with original air hose length
- Acoustic output: 61 dB at 1 meter (momentary - during actuation)
Environmental Ratings
- Moisture resistance: None
- Dust resistance: None
- Operating environment: 100 °F (38 °C) to 40 °F (5 °C), non-condensing humidity
- Note: Testing conducted at sea level and at 8000 ft (2438 m). Operation at significantly higher altitudes is not guaranteed (use of a shorter air hose may compensate thinner atmosphere but is as yet untested)
Power Requirements
- 5 VDC @ 0.5 A
- Active current (momentary): 310 mA (0.31 A)
- Standby current (continuous): 30 mA (0.03 A)
- Recommended min. battery capacity for time-lapse: 5 VDC @ 5000 mAh
- Fujifilm X100 and X100S: Use of the CP-95/CN-5 Battery Eliminator is strongly recommended as shooting a time-lapse can drain your camera's internal battery before shooting has completed (as of this writing new units of the CP-95/CN-5 Battery Eliminator can still be sourced from AliExpress). Combined with a 10000 mAh or 20000 mAh USB power bank, is it possible to power both the camera and shutterpumper from a single, convenient supply for very long periods. Tip: Reduce the brightness of your camera's LCD monitor for even longer battery life.
User Interface & Connectivity
- Dual LED indicators: Power and Trigger
- Controls: Trigger test/manual override button
- Power input: USB Type-C
- Intervalometer / RS-60E3 remote input: 2.5 mm jack
- Camera strap clip on reverse side for tripod suspension (clip is non-removable)
Warranty
- PLEASE BE ADVISED the air piston release module (the unit that presses your camera shutter button) CANNOT BE REPLACED due to supply shortages. Every shutterpumper is tested prior to shipping and carries a 30-day warranty from the date of sale against functional defects, however, in the unlikely event the air release module becomes damaged during normal use your only recourse is to source a replacement unit from a third party - usually as part of a squeeze-bulb shutter release. We apologize for any inconvenience and will offer the sale of replacement release modules if they again become available.
- WARRANTY VOID if the shutterpumper has been opened or shows sign of attempted disassembly, or, if the shutterpumper has been subjected to conditions that exceed those listed here under Cautions & Limitations.
Cautions & Limitations
- EU Customers: At this time the shutterpumper cannot be shipped to the European Union
- Not shock resistant — avoid drops on hard surfaces
- Use with provided microfiber pouch to reduce dust ingestion
- Storage limits: Max 100 °F (38 °C), Min 35 °F (2 °C) non-condensing humidity
- Do not store in direct sunlight
- Avoid suspending device from air hose
- Keep away from liquids and dusty environments — unit is not sealed against dust or moisture
- Keep away from open flames — unit is not fire resistant
- Do not exceed 5 VDC on USB input
